This one’s a quicker story, but it’s worth telling.
After the video of the cheerleading stack at the last game blew up, the team saw it and actually hooked us up. They gave me and Tim free tickets to another game — and this time, our seats were super close to the floor.
We were hyped.
When we got to the arena, we walked through the VIP entrance, and even got to play a little bit on the team’s practice court. Tim was out there trying to dunk on a 6-inch rim — and honestly, he was cooking. I thought, for once, this might actually be a normal day.
I was wrong.
After shooting around, we hit the VIP lounge and grabbed some snacks. I had pretzels and cookies. Tim? He went for a massive bucket of popcorn, obviously.
As we headed to our seats, we passed by a few NBA players — and then something wild happened:
Mikal Bridges saw Tim, recognized him from our videos, and dapped him up. No joke.
Tim played it cool.
We got to our seats and settled in. The game was fire — back-and-forth action, real high energy. And by the second quarter, I remembered:
Wait a second… I’m a content creator.
So I pulled out my phone to start recording.
Because, you know — at the end of the day, I am a content creator.
And like clockwork, the moment I started filming, something went wrong.
I was recording a player who just got fouled, hyping up the play, when I caught something out of the corner of my eye — a basketball, flying straight at me.
I turned my phone just in time to perfectly capture it hitting me square in the face.
Hard.
Future me would discover that I had a full-on black eye.
In the moment?
The whole section gasped like, “OOOOHHHH!”
And guess who was the only person laughing?
Yeah. Tim.
Tim the spider. Or, as his government name, Tim Tracer.
Of course he’d be laughing. He was holding his popcorn like it was a front-row comedy show.
I was tight. Not gonna lie — I didn’t enjoy the rest of the game for a while. Sat there mad salty with one eye swollen shut.
But then, in the fourth quarter, someone hit a game-winner and the arena exploded.
Everyone went wild — me and Tim included, but not that wild.
Because, let’s be real… nothing beats the ending of a Celtics vs. Lakers game.
But that’s a story for another time…
