So, as you may or may not know, me and Tim are pretty serious about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Specifically: PB&J The Long Way.
We got inspired by the viral “Peanut Butter and Jelly the Long Way” trend on TikTok — and since then, we’ve created some wild sandwich builds. Our first one? Two slices of bread with 50 full jars of peanut butter and jelly stacked in between. The next two versions were stacked loafs of bread glued together with peanut butter and jelly.
But today, we decided to go back to the original concept — and take it up three notches.
That meant: 150 jars of peanut butter and jelly. Stacked. Between two slices of bread.
So we hopped on DoorDash and UberEats and got to work.
We ordered nothing but Wonder Bread and jars. So many jars. We ended up placing orders from ten different stores because each one kept running out of inventory after we cleaned them out. We even had to get on the phone with managers and DoorDash drivers just to confirm it was a real order. (Shoutout to the drivers — we had to tip heavy to make this happen.)
Once everything arrived, it was game time.
Tim was on peanut butter duty. I handled the jelly.
We each built three “jar mountains,” then stacked them like layers of a sandwich cake. It took a while — we even had to watch a video on the Leaning Tower of Pisa just to understand how to balance the structure.
The final challenge? Getting the top slice of bread on the tower.
We ended up throwing it like a frisbee, taking turns to land it. After 15 minutes, I finally nailed it.
And since Tim’s super competitive, I immediately started bragging. I wasn’t gonna let him have this one.
Anyway, once the sandwich was complete, I got ready to film the video — because at the end of the day, I am a content creator.
I started from the bottom of the tower and panned all the way up, revealing the surprise:
A 10-foot-tall peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Tim stood near the plate at the bottom of the frame, and everything seemed fine… until we played the “Peanut Butter & Jelly The Long Way” audio. That’s when things got weird.
The sandwich came to life.
At first we just heard a weird noise. Then we saw the entire sandwich hop forward.
Me and Tim looked at each other and let out a sigh.
Of course this happened. In our house, even sandwiches turn into monsters.
As usual, we ran around the house with it chasing us. But while hiding behind the couch, we had a realization:
“It’s a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.”
So we ran back toward it.
For the first time in a while, we were the ones going on the offensive. We started eating it. Bite after bite.
The sandwich realized it couldn’t defend itself — so it panicked, jumped into the bathroom, and literally flushed itself down the toilet to escape.
Absolutely insane.
But hey — it was nice being the predator for once.
Although, to be fair, it wasn’t the first time we chased something.
There was that one time we sprinted after the garbage bag when we tried to take it out.
But that’s a story for another time…
